Academic Language Week 33 - American Students

Cell phones should be allowed in schools. One reason is because in CONTRAST of what adults may say about us students we can in fact handle our selves when it comes to cellular devises. Another reason, students should be able to have cell phones in school is because we do not always get PERSUADED to use them every single minute of every single moment. As crazy as it may seem some students have used there cellular devises for class work and for homework. It's not like we only use them for texting and for facebooking. Additionally, the CRITIQUE decision on whether cell phones should or shouldn't be allowed in school should rely on the students to see if they are capable to use their phones in a useful way. In conclusion, cell phones should be a way for kids to get a clearer way for helping with their learning skills or to help them get use to technology.

Academic Language Week 33 - American Students

American students are falling behind academically compared to students in other countries. This is a fact. One reason this is true, is because there is DATA showing the proof. There are more students failing in America than in another countrie. Another reason this is true, is because If you COMPARE the statistics with the facts its very most likely American students are doing less of a well job than other students in other countries. Another reason is that kids here take school for granted while other kids all over are trying there best. I mean students think school is all about partying and having fun, which we all know is not the case. Therfore, there is a high RANGE of this statement being the truth. It is sad in a way that this is the truth. What we American students should do is to actually start doing the best we can and stop taking school for granted. We are so lucky and fortunate to be able to have school and to have schools in our district. We can change this and make it better for ourselves and for everyone who believes in us.
